Language tests for doctors coming to the UK

The BBC website reports on 25th June that European doctors wanting to work as GPs in the UK will now need to sit language tests. Previously, the General Medical Council (GMC) only tested the language skills of doctors coming from outside Europe. These rules have changed recently to ensure that GPs are qualified linguistically as well as medically.
